Back-up power systems
In the event of a power outage, a generator will be manually activated by the staff. It provides full coverage for the entire property, including appliances, geysers, ovens, and air conditioning, for approximately 8 hours, depending on fuel levels.
For cooking during a power failure, there is a gas/charcoal braai outdoors. We recommend avoiding the use of washing machines, tumble dryers, and air conditioners unless necessary during outages.
The flatlet may find the generator noise disturbing, so we suggest switching it off at night. The alarm system will be inactive when the generator is off, but rechargeable lamps will be provided in case of an unexpected power cut.​

Security
The property is equipped with top-level security, featuring both internal and external zoned beams, as well as security shutters throughout.
